The place is super awesome, very cool vibe and nice atmosphere. The service is superb, both of the staff that helped us were super nice, polite and smiling. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. However the food was very disappointing, is it very obvious that the chef doesn’t understand the french cuisine, every dish we ordered was soaking in oil (in particular the samosas and the potatoes literally dripping oil), the taste of the tartare was disappointing old and the boeuf was not ok, it tasted like it was grilled in old fat.
I don’t recommend the place for any sort of food. However if you are looking for somewhere for a nice wine or just drinks, definitely this is a good option.

Back for encore meal … ?the food and vibe @ Cafe de Lyon. Dine inside or outdoor patio, well curated menu and all served by a friendly team. Highly recommend.

I had a late dinner here and will highly recommend a visit. The decor was quaint; a casual Cafe in a small village. The starter was Melted St. Marcellin with toast and greens. The main course was Andouillet with escalloped potatoes and a small salad. Dessert Brioche with caramel butter and vanilla ice cream. I will stop in Chambery specifically to eat at this restaurant.

I had a great steak at Cafe de Lyon. The meat was very tasty (could’ve been cooked a bit more) The potatoes were also delicious and were cooked to a perfect crisp. The service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Chambéry.

This place rocks. Recommended by our hotel for Sunday night dinner when most things in Chambery are closed and sleepy, and it was awesome. Gin fizz absolutely crushed. I ate pork and my husband ate steak, we got the meat pie for appetizer. Lovely all around.

This enticing city-centre establishment overflows with the infectious enthusiasm of its youthful owners, who, like its namesake chaffinch, adore travelling… After stints in London and Paris, the chef rustles up a melting-pot menu, while his partner brings her experience in the luxury trade to bear in the dining room. Gracious, warm welcome and vibe.

Folie Cuisine d'Émotions
In a heritage edifice in the heart of historic Chambéry, not far from the Château des Ducs de Savoie, indulge yourself(ves) in this establishment, set in the former courtyard of what is now a luxury hotel. In a suitably classy yet cosy setting, the chef crafts a “carte blanche” menu inspired by the seasons and travel.

Carré des Sens
In a pretty spot on one of the city's central squares, this building is the stomping ground of a chef who revisits classics from French tradition with passion and precision: boiled egg, fricassee of chanterelles and parsley emulsion; chuck of beef cooked at a low temperature, potato galette and truffle jus; hot soufflé with Grand Marnier – quality ingredients go into these delicious and carefully executed dishes.

Le Bistrot
On the menu of this bistro near the theatre and the cathedral, you will find hearty Gallic seasonal recipes, starring fine ingredients that shout their name. The Savoie-born chef worked for a long time in Ducasse establishments. In fine weather, meals are served on a shaded terrace, which further increases the pleasure.
