Positive points: very friendly staff and good food.
Negative points: high prices for ultimately a cuisine that I describe as bistro cuisine. Moreover, the prices on the site are not updated, quite substantial increase on certain dishes.
No choice for non-alcoholic cocktails, only one on the menu.
Surprised by the idea of presenting desserts to each table on a tray at the end of the meal... I hope that the tray is unique for each service and that desserts are not served... hygiene-wise... that surprises me..
I am stunned to receive a response to my opinion 5 MONTHS after it was written… it leaves me more than perplexed ?

Came often when traveling to Rouen, nothing to complain about on previous visits. But Saturday evening after choosing the prime rib ordered for 3 people, it was served after 5 minutes... So pre-cooked, pre-cut and kept warm, which recooked the slices. In addition, the quantity was not as expected compared to other prime rib ordered at the same place during previous visits.

A restaurant where parking is difficult. The rooms inside are rather pretty, the setting is pleasant, the welcome too, even warm.
On the other hand, it’s then that it doesn’t work. The wait for dishes is endless, even for daily menus. On the plate, if you don't have meat, it's clearly not good. A salmon rillette that is too salty and totally crushed by dill, clam pasta with extremely overcooked pasta and clams that you spit out because they are so rubbery, absolutely inedible, unless you cut them into eighths. Besides, I have 6 on the plate and one of them isn't even opened, what is the chef doing?? I'm not talking about the garlic oil bath in which everything is floundering...
The wines are quite decent at a reasonable price.
Finally, in the room people arrive with a barking dog, I thought I was in a restaurant. As for smokers who go on the terrace outside with the door open, all the smoke enters the room, which is extremely unpleasant when eating.
A very bad experience...

Between the River Seine and the cathedral, this restaurant has a black and red interior with a geometrical design. The son of a market gardener with a passion for vegetables, the chef infuses his cuisine with contemporary flavours and aromas. He gives free rein to his imagination and creativity in his carte blanche menu: scallops, fennel and blackcurrants; Black Angus beef, mushrooms, celery and vin jaune.

L'epicurius
In a charming pedestrian street in the old part of Rouen, this trendy bistro serves fine and tasty cuisine, such as bluefin tuna with pea mousseline, cockles and haddock emulsion, or red berry vacherin with a herb sorbet… Carefully selected ingredients, to be enjoyed in a contemporary interior. Charming welcome.

L'Odas
Ideally located in the heart of the historic city, two minutes from the cathedral, this restaurant is the brainchild of Olivier Da Silva. He regales diners with a seasonal, often bold score to which he adds the occasional citrus note for extra zest and vivacity. Plants, veg and fish are showcased in a mystery menu. Take a seat in the dining room where you can admire the team at work in the open-plan kitchen or on the pleasantly secluded patio.

Paul-Arthur
This former Top Chef contestant, who hails from the South of France, has set up shop in this half-timbered house on Place de la Pucelle. In this contemporary bistro, which still boasts its period beams, the chef cooks up a pressé of veal shank and foie gras with pistachio pistou; hake confit in semi-salted butter, sweet potato and smoked hollandaise; banoffee pie, dulce de leche and caramelised pecans. The style is the right degree of modern, the ingredients are seasonal, and the dinner menu is more ambitious than that at lunchtime.
